Kids Church

Kids Church is children’s ministry carefully crafted for your child!

Where we MEET kids to their purpose in Jesus

What is Kids Church
Every weekend and midweek service we have experiences that are safe and age-appropriate for all children:  Ages Newborn to Potty-trained — Clayzone Nursery,  Ages 3 to 5 – Clayzone Preschool, 1st -through 5th grade – ArKidZ!
It is our desire for children attending to experience the love of Jesus in a way that they understand all-the-while creating great memories they won’t forget.
We would love to host your family for a visit at Christ Temple this week. Your kids will learn to know Jesus on their level and have lots of fun!

Your First Visit
Come upstairs to our children’s area and check-in.  Look for the area designated for first-time families. We will meet your family, check your child into our database system, and show your child to their applicable service.
We will ask for the following personal information: family members’ names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.
If you are planning a visit and would like to pre-register your child for service simply contact our Children’s Pastor, Sam Vance at svance@ctcwv.com and we will have everything setup for check-in.  Please email us a day or so before your visit so we can have everything ready for you!

How Safe Check-In Works
Assisted and first time check-in is available through the assisted check-in kiosk prior to services in front of the Kids Church sanctuary, called the Arkive, which is upstairs in the main building.  If you have a key tag you can use an automated check-in at any available station upstairs near the Arkive or downstairs at the Nursery.
After checking in the kiosk will printer will provide you and your child matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s last name and identification code will appear on the screen in the auditorium. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

The Ride Home
On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like, “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today?” It’s our goal that every child has a positive answer to these two questions, every week!  If you have any questions or concerns email Pastor Sam at svance@ctcwv.com.

Special Environments

Nursing Mother’s Room
We have a special environment available for mothers only who desire to observe service while nursing their baby in a private and quiet environment. For more information please see one of the nursery staff.  There is a code you can receive to enter the secure are whenever you need it.    It is stocked with water, comfortable seats, a changing station, and one-way glass so you can see the service.

Special Needs
We have ministries available on Sunday mornings at 11am where we are able to engage children with special needs. Trained volunteers lovingly serve these children and do whatever it takes to help them learn about Jesus on their level. Every child matters to us.

What is Important to Us

Discipleship
We believe that a relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in one’s life.  We use the Bible as our foundation for teaching truths that all lead back to Jesus, preparing young hearts for a life of following after Him and what that means for their every day lives.

Community
Children need relationships to grow.  Our settings include large group time as well as small group and one on one time.  It is our goal for children to have a relationship with there teachers and section leaders but also with one another.  Community extends to relationships with parents.  Our children’s workers and leaders desire to partner with parents so that each child can have a congruency in nurturing and teaching.

Age-Appropriateness
We are passionate about children receiving developmentally and age-appropriate lessons in an environment that is conducive to learning and creativity.  That’s why we carefully craft our presentation to children with materials that are on their level in a presentation that will engage them.

Safety
Every volunteer we have is screened with an interview and a federal background check. We have security cameras throughout the building and our facilities are monitored by security personnel during services.  Every child receives a name tag that has a match issued to their parents.

Fun!
With kids, fun is where it’s at.  We believe that the best part of a child’s week should be at church.  They should love coming to church and anticipate the next time they can come back.  That’s why we have fun learning about Jesus and we do that through prizes, games, dances, live music, and dramas.
